Every bouzouki starts from a piece of wood.<\/h1>\n

At the KOUL-CO workshop, we craft bouzoukia, tzourades, and baglamades by hand, one by one.<\/p>\n \n

The boat<\/h2>\n

The staves are bent using heat and glued one by one onto the mold. The wood of the body\u2014walnut, mulberry, or rosewood\u2014gives the instrument its depth of sound.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n\n

The lid<\/h2>\n

Fir or cedar, worked to the right thickness. The instrument\u2019s voice emanates from the soundboard, which is why we devote the greatest attention to it.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n\n

The fretboard<\/h2>\n

Ebony, wenge, or rosewood. The frets are installed with millimeter precision so that every note rings out clearly along the entire length of the neck.<\/p>\n <\/article>\n\n
